Caring of your garment

Dry Clean is appropriate,

But even dry clean is appropriate you can hand wash.

1. Gently wash in warm-cold water with a mild soap (mild shampoo will do) . Rinse in water at same temperature.

Caution:  Never wring or twist. Gently press excess water from garment. Wet Alpaca garments must lose their shape.

2. Dry: Use a towel to remove excess of water. While supporting the weight of the wet garment lay it on a dry towel. Ease the garment back into shape and roll up in the towel. Press to remove excess water and repeat this step with a second towel.

3. On a flat surface lay the sweater on a fresh, dry towel, until thoroughly air dried.

4. Once your Alpaca garment is dry you will want to fold it carefully, avoiding a center crease.

5. It is better if you lay flat in a drawer or on a closet shelf your Alpaca sweater instead hanging it to avoid the risk of stretching the garment out of shape.

    The Fiber

    • Natural Fiber. Hypoallergenic. Naturally.

    • Most people allergic to wool are not allergic to alpaca.

    • Does not itch. Rarely users feel a reaction to alpaca garments.

    • Does not have lanoline, common source of allergies. Lanoline retains dust and microscopic organic elements. Baby alpaca in general has minimum dust absorption. Garment remains clean and fresh and healthier!

Un-common and unique fiber. Even cashmere is 70% made in China from Goat and is widely spread around the world. Alpaca fiber is unique, made from alpacas. The Quality of the fiber has a direct relation with the quality of the live stock. That is why you should find, same as wine, different varieties and feelings when you wear alpaca garments. World wide production of alpaca fiber is around 1% of cashmere.

Retains your body heat having and incredible thermal capacity. Protects who is wearing against hard and soft weather. Hollow fiber, breaths and light weight. Very strong. Does not loose shape. Does not peel. Hard to wrinkle. Repels tiny rain. Fits in a hand bag. Ideal for traveling. Fancy garment. Durable.

    The Animal

    • Friendly animals

    • They are not killed. Just sheared. It keeps them fresh during summer and ready hair growth for winter.

    • They need to be raised for humans. Hard to live with no human assistance.

    • They originally live in the highlands, really strong and hard weather. Even that, they have the capability to live in warm weather.

    • With humans they make an ideal and harmonic society human-animal

Social Impact in Countries of South America

    • Original from the Andean Highlands Alpacas had started to be farmed in other countries from time to now. Countries as Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador are the most involved in farming Alpacas

    • Alpaca is a domesticated animal for centuries in this highlands by native people. Recently you can find more business focused entities in the exploration of alpaca and its varieties.

    • Most farms are small, main source of thousands of these humble families.

    • As many things this countries there is a chain of micro or small business to finish the whole process.

    • In other words, the "industry" is strongly supported in small and family based business.

    • This "industry" has an economic and more important, a social impact among these countries and their national economy.

    • We are committed as s trade fair business

    Alpacas in USA

    • We are a United States Based Business and sometimes we buy the fiber locally but the production is not quit steady yet.

    • We hope in the future this can change. There is a lot of enthusiastic people around different specialized organization who are working hard in developing a strong alpaca breeders community or alpaca clothing initiative, keeping it fresh.. There is a lot of farms of alpacas nationwide. It is something that is going to be growing up everyday

Ideas for your wrap

TIPS

You need to allow flow the fiber on your shoulders. Avoid to put it on your neck. Center your wrap on your shoulders.

The fiber compresses very well, so if you do belted styles feel free to experience.

In our opinion not all the styles are going to fit you well. Find your best style!

This fiber is very lightweight and is going to hold different shapes. In other words, generally you wrap it and the fiber holds the shape by itself.

Style 1: Center your wrap and cross sides like doing a knot.

Style 2: Fit your shoulder and cross one side underneath reaching your opposite side on your waist. Then, cross the other side over your opposite shoulder.

Style 3: Belted. Just Center your wrap as you are planning to use it open! Then from inside your back you wear a belt. Just Tie it in the front, not all the way.

Just hide the excess of fiber neat in your back. The fiber is going to compress in your back and does not bother you.

When you get the shape you like just finish and tie completely your belt.

You can do different styles in the front! You can cross it or you can smash a little bit the fiber!
